The welcome every single time you go in is what started it all. It's always hello darling, welcome home. The food is absolutely amazing. I love the buffet. Waiters are always friendly. This was the first and only Indian restaurant I've tried since I moved here 5 years ago. No need to try another, this hits the spot every single time

Stopped by Little Rock as part of a cross country road trip, and wow what a highlight of the journey! Quick and incredible service, clean and tasty food, and an amazing ambiance. Colorful assemblage of patrons didn't hurt either. Would 100 percent recommend for anyone on the fence. Generous portions too.

I've eaten here many times. Each time the food has been equally great. The consistency is one of the most striking parts of The Star of India's mainstays. The most amazing parts of visiting this established is the owner Sami he remembers your name and always greets you with "Welcome Home" I've been to other Indian restaurants in other States and in Little Rock and this is my go to place for lunch and dinner with friends or solo. No matter which dish you try I guarantee it will be delicious. My last visit I told the people I was with that I was never able to have my glass of water to get below 1/2 of a glass. They didn't have a clue what I was talking about. They all knew by the end of the night. The service was so good that we never had any of our water glasses below 1/2 a glass the server ALWAYS filled it before it was lower than that level. That is just how great the service is at this restaurant!

The service here was great, we were greeted by a hospitable male host, presumably he was the owner. He went table after table to make sure everyone were well served. The environment was good and we felt like you were in little India. The food were okay, the paratha was not buttery and flaky and the chicken in all the dishes lacked flavor or marination. The spinach dish was good which paired well with their bread and/or rice. Overall, there is not a lot of East Indian restaurants in the area but this place will meet your craving for India food and experience.

I wasn't extremely hungry but wanted to get out to try something new. I stumbled upon this place based on the Yelp reviews and I love Indian food, So I said why not. I was immediately greeted when I walked into the restaurant and everything smelled wonderful upon entrance. I was quickly seated and served an appetizer. The owner greeted me and asked what I wanted for dinner, and even guessed my top 2 options. Lol. I deviated from what I was familiar with and opted for a beef curry dish, and it was wonderful. I had to tell myself to stop eating so I could avoid gluttony and I'm glad I did so because now I have lunch for tomorrow. I will tell you though, I ordered my dish medium, and it was rather spicy to me, but I managed. I appreciate the attentiveness from the staff and how personable the owner was. I'll definitely return when in the area.... and perhaps try another new dish.
